SWAN Students Ambassdors

This summer, the Second Annual 2018 Cultural Awareness Program (CAP) will be held in Zhejiang, China. Selected students who participate in CAP are SWAN Student Ambassadors. They will be immersed in an oversea hands-on learning opportunity to experience China’s past and present. For the first part of the trip, students will visit Hangzhou. A city which was once the Sung Dynasty’s capital and cultural center. Its natural beauty of situating next to the Westlake has been the subject of poets and authors for thousands of years.

The second part of the trip will take place in Lanxi. A developing city that still holds authentic and unchanged ways of living. The Student Ambassadors will go to school in Lanxi for 4 day at the Jinjia Xinyi Primary School. They will interact and lead younger children in activities, while gaining community perspectives of Lanxi.

For registration information, email us at info@swan-nyc.org or contact us at 646-998-5786. CAP runs from 8/13/2018 – 8/24/2018.

Shuang Wen Academy Network (SWAN) helps students from varied social, economic and ethnic backgrounds develop proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, and acquire a greater understanding of Chinese culture, so they can become better global citizens in an increasingly competitive and demanding international environment. While providing early language learning opportunities that take full advantage of both traditional and innovative teaching techniques, advanced technologies and strategic partnerships, SWAN seeks to share its best practices and replicate its success.
